Selena Gomez has achieved a rare feat by earning two Golden Globe nominations for her performances across both film and television. The nominations were announced Monday at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles by presenters Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut.

The 32-year-old star received a nomination for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy for her role in Hulu's mystery series "Only Murders in the Building." This marks her third consecutive nomination in this category for the mystery series, where she stars alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Her second nomination came in the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture category for her performance in "Emilia Pérez," a Spanish-language musical thriller. In the film, Gomez plays Jessi, the wife of a Mexican cartel boss undergoing gender-affirming surgery. She shares the category with her co-star Zoe Saldaña, who also earned a nomination for her role as Rita.

Responding to the nominations on Instagram Stories, Gomez expressed her gratitude: "I don't even know what to write.. I'm so proud of @zoesaldana and I am so grateful and honored @goldenglobes."

"Emilia Pérez" dominated the nominations with 10 nods across multiple categories, including directing, screenwriting, and music. Meanwhile, "Only Murders in the Building" secured four nominations, tying for second place among TV contenders alongside "Shōgun."

Gomez joins a select group of performers who have received dual nominations in a single year. Other actors who have achieved this distinction in the past decade include Amy Adams, Regina King, and Alicia Vikander. This year, she shares this accomplishment with Sebastian Stan, who also received nominations in multiple acting categories.

The 2025 Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser and will take place on January 5 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
