A revival of the beloved series "White Collar" is preparing to seek potential buyers, following streaming platform Hulu's decision not to move forward with the project.

Series creator Jeff Eastin is spearheading the effort to bring back the popular crime drama, with plans to pitch the revival to various networks and streaming services in the coming weeks. The project, titled "White Collar Renaissance," is being produced by 20th Television.

While Hulu, which currently houses the original series' library, was initially considered the natural destination for the revival, the streamer ultimately passed on the opportunity. Netflix could emerge as a strong contender, given it currently streams the original series in multiple territories including the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.

The proposed revival is expected to reunite the main cast, including Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, and Tiffani Thiessen, though formal casting agreements are still pending. The project gained momentum following a virtual cast reunion during the early days of the pandemic.

DeKay has praised the revival's script, noting it addresses lingering questions from the original series while remaining accessible to new viewers. The new iteration will also pay tribute to the late Willie Garson, who played a key role in the original series before his passing in 2021.

Thiessen has shared her emotional response to the pilot script, titled "Masquerade," highlighting its ability to balance suspense and character dynamics while honoring the show's legacy.

The original "White Collar" aired on USA Network from 2009 to 2014, establishing itself as a fan favorite during its six-season run.
