Alan Ritchson, star of Prime Video's hit action series "Reacher," has boldly declared that the upcoming third season will surpass its predecessors in every way. Speaking at CCXP in Brazil, where the new season's trailer debuted, Ritchson shared his enthusiasm about the next chapter in Jack Reacher's story.
The third season, based on Lee Child's novel "Persuader," will follow Reacher on an undercover mission to rescue an informant, while confronting a mysterious figure from his past. The narrative promises to push the towering protagonist into unfamiliar territory, testing his abilities in ways viewers haven't seen before.
One of the season's most anticipated elements is the introduction of Paulie, played by Oliver Richters, a 7-foot-2 bodybuilder who serves as a bodyguard for suspicious businessman Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall). According to Ritchson, this new adversary makes even the imposing Reacher "look absolutely tiny."
"Season 3 is by far the best season we've ever made," Ritchson declared at CCXP. "Start to finish, this is high octane action, this is peak TV and I cannot wait for everyone to watch this."
The new season will see the return of fan-favorite Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, Reacher's trusted ally, as they navigate through a complex criminal enterprise. The story will also delve deeper into Reacher's past, a recurring theme throughout the series.
Prime Video has scheduled the premiere for February 20, 2025, with the first three episodes releasing simultaneously, followed by weekly installments until March 27. Based on Ritchson's enthusiasm and the promising plot details, fans of the series have much to look forward to in this new installment of "Reacher."
