Marvel actor Jack Veal, known for his role as Kid Loki in the Disney+ series "Loki," has found housing after recently revealing his struggle with homelessness. The 17-year-old British actor shared the positive update with his followers on social media.
Earlier this week, Veal posted an emotional video disclosing that he had been sleeping in an unsafe trailer with broken windows, located two hours away from his workplace. The young actor explained he had fled an allegedly abusive household and was unable to stay with his grandparents due to his grandfather's terminal illness.
In the initial video, Veal opened up about his personal challenges, including his autism, ADHD, and ongoing screenings for bipolar disorder and psychosis. He detailed his unsuccessful attempts to receive assistance from social services and asked his followers to help spread awareness about his situation.
The actor's plea for help quickly gained traction online. Following an interview with a journalist and the viral spread of his message, the Islington Council contacted Veal and provided him with emergency placement in what he describes as an "amazing" new home.
In a tearful follow-up video, Veal expressed his gratitude to his supporters: "If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have gotten anything," he said, visibly moved by the outpouring of support that led to his new living situation.
The young actor, who has also appeared in shows like "Tin Star," "The End of the F--king World," and "The Peripheral," continues to share updates with his followers as he settles into his new accommodation.
