In an exciting development for Marvel fans, Vincent D'Onofrio is set to reprise his role as the menacing Kingpin in Disney+'s upcoming animated series "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man," premiering January 29.
The series presents a fresh take on the Spider-Man story, following an alternate timeline where Peter Parker receives mentorship from Norman Osborn rather than Tony Stark. D'Onofrio will be joined by fellow "Daredevil" alumnus Charlie Cox, who returns as Matt Murdock.
Hudson Thames leads the cast as the voice of Spider-Man/Peter Parker, with Colman Domingo portraying Norman Osborn. The stellar ensemble also includes Kari Wahlgren as Aunt May, Hugh Dancy as Doctor Octopus, and Paul F. Tompkins as The Wizard.
The recently released trailer showcases Parker sporting two distinct Spider-Man suits - a casual design befitting a teenager and a sophisticated black-and-white costume. The preview highlights the series' action-packed nature, featuring Parker taking down criminals while maintaining his characteristic wit.
Jeff Trammell serves as head writer, with Mel Zwyer directing. The series' executive production team includes Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, and Trammell.
This animated venture marks another chapter in Spider-Man's successful screen history, following Tom Holland's popular portrayal in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the blockbuster "Spider-Man: No Way Home," which ranks among the highest-grossing films ever made.
