Academy Award-nominated actress Scarlett Johansson revealed her long-awaited dream of joining the Jurassic franchise has finally come true. Speaking at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Johansson shared her enthusiasm about starring in the upcoming "Jurassic World Rebirth."

"It has been a lifelong dream to be in a Jurassic movie for the last 15 years," Johansson told the audience at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace. "Each time I heard that they were making a movie, I'd reach out and say 'I'm available here.'"

The actress unveiled exclusive footage and never-before-seen photos from the seventh installment of the beloved dinosaur franchise. Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert leading a team on a mission to secure genetic material from the world's three largest dinosaurs.

Director Gareth Edwards, who joined Johansson on stage, shared his own connection to the franchise. "I suffered from a rare condition in childhood, where I was compelled to watch 'Jurassic Park' at least 10 times a year," he joked. Edwards emphasized his commitment to creating an authentic experience, filming in real isolated locations to achieve a "roller coaster ride" feeling for audiences.

The film's plot follows Bennett's team as they encounter a stranded civilian family whose boat was attacked by aquatic dinosaurs. Together, they discover a decades-old secret on a mysterious island.

The star-studded cast includes Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, and David Iacano. The screenplay comes from David Koepp, who wrote the original 1993 "Jurassic Park" and its 1997 sequel.

"Jurassic World Rebirth" will roar into theaters on July 2, 2025.
