Journalist and author Liz Plank has announced her departure from "The Man Enough" podcast following serious allegations against her co-host Justin Baldoni. The exit comes in the wake of sexual harassment claims made by actress Blake Lively against Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath.
In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, Plank shared her decision to step away from the podcast she has co-hosted since 2021. "I have had my representatives inform Wayfarer that I will no longer be co-hosting The Man Enough podcast," she wrote, expressing gratitude to listeners while hinting at the gravity of recent events with the pointed statement: "We all deserve better."
The podcast, which explored themes of modern masculinity, was hosted by Plank alongside Baldoni and Heath, both of whom were named in Lively's December 20 legal complaint. The filing details disturbing allegations of misconduct during the production of "It Ends with Us."
Lively's complaint alleges that Baldoni engaged in inappropriate behavior, including showing explicit images, making unwanted sexual comments, and attempting to add intimate scenes without prior agreement. The actress also claims she faced retaliatory actions after voicing her concerns.
The 37-year-old actress sought specific protections before returning to set, including restrictions on improvised intimate scenes and requirements for explicit consent for any physical contact. These discussions reportedly took place with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, present.
In response to the allegations, Baldoni's legal team has denied all claims, calling them "false" and "intentionally salacious." The fallout has been swift, with WME dropping Baldoni as a client on December 21.
Plank's departure marks a notable shift for the podcast, which launched in 2021. In her statement, she emphasized her ongoing commitment to supporting those who "call out injustice" while promising to share more details as she processes recent events.
The controversy has already impacted the "It Ends with Us" production, with social media observers noting that Lively and other cast members had unfollowed Baldoni prior to the film's release.
