Actor Faran Tahir is set to make a remarkable return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, reprising his role as the villainous Raza in the upcoming Disney+ series centered around Vision. This marks the longest gap between appearances in MCU history, as Tahir last portrayed the character in 2008's "Iron Man."

In the original film, Tahir played Raza, the leader of the terrorist organization Ten Rings, who orchestrated Tony Stark's kidnapping – the pivotal event that led to Stark becoming Iron Man. Despite his apparent death in the first Iron Man film, Raza will return in this new series, joining Paul Bettany, who continues his role as Vision.

The yet-untitled series, sometimes referred to as "Vision Quest," will follow Vision's journey to recover his memory and humanity following the events of "WandaVision." Adding to the star power, James Spader will return as Ultron, while Todd Stashwick joins the cast in an undisclosed role.

Terry Matalas, known for his work on "Star Trek: Picard," will serve as showrunner for the series, which is scheduled to debut in 2026. The project has been in development since 2022 and received a series order in May.

Tahir's return after nearly two decades demonstrates Marvel's commitment to connecting its expanding universe across different eras. The actor's extensive career includes roles in "Star Trek," "Elysium," and various television series including "The Old Man" and "12 Monkeys."

Marvel Studios continues to keep plot details under wraps, leaving fans to speculate about how Raza's character will fit into Vision's new chapter.
