During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, actress Lauren Graham addressed the ongoing popularity of Gilmore Girls and made light of the show's streaming revenue situation.

Graham, 58, who portrayed beloved single mom Lorelai Gilmore, acknowledged that the series has found an even wider audience since its original run on The WB. "We have definitely reached more people than we were reaching on The WB," she told Kimmel, noting that the show now attracts viewers across different age groups and demographics.

When asked about residual payments from the show's streaming success on Netflix, Graham humorously responded, "There really are no residuals on Netflix. But I've been paid in love."

The topic of streaming compensation has been a sensitive issue for the Gilmore Girls cast. During the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, cast member Sean Gunn highlighted concerns about the lack of compensation from streaming, stating that despite the show's consistent popularity on Netflix, actors "see almost none of the revenue."

The conversation took a lighter turn when Kimmel joked about Graham's new project on Tubi, suggesting it "could have been just like Netflix, except for they pay you." Graham playfully deflected, saying "Let's not talk about it anymore! I'm in trouble."

Despite the residuals discussion, Graham emphasized that she still enjoys talking about Gilmore Girls, which premiered in October 2000. "I'm not sick of talking about it at all," she shared, expressing genuine appreciation for the show's enduring impact 25 years after its debut.
