Actress Jodie Turner-Smith has filed court documents alleging that her former husband Joshua Jackson has failed to provide child and spousal support since their divorce proceedings began in October 2023.

In documents filed December 23rd in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Turner-Smith, 38, is seeking monthly payments of $8,543 in child support and $28,641 in spousal support from Jackson, 46, retroactive to their initial separation date. The actress is also requesting $250,000 to cover attorney and forensic accountant fees.

According to the filing, Turner-Smith claims Jackson had previously promised financial security for their 4-year-old daughter Juno, stating he "understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother." She alleges that after their marriage, she primarily acted as their daughter's caretaker while Jackson continued advancing his acting career spanning over three decades.

Turner-Smith maintains that Jackson has consistently earned more than her throughout their relationship, as she works to establish herself in the entertainment industry. She states her primary goal is to purchase a home in Los Angeles and provide support for their daughter.

The "Queen & Slim" actress filed for divorce in late 2023 citing "irreconcilable differences" after four years of marriage. In a recent interview with the Sunday Times, Turner-Smith reflected on the split, saying "Sometimes things we really want to work just don't end up working."

Representatives for both Jackson and Turner-Smith have not responded to requests for comment on the latest court filing.
