Wade Robson, one of Michael Jackson's accusers, has revealed the intense backlash he faced after coming forward with sexual abuse allegations against the late pop star.

In the upcoming documentary "Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson," Robson, 42, describes the hostile reactions from Jackson's global fanbase as "fricking terrifying," noting that some fans became "extremely vicious" in their responses.

The new documentary, set to release on YouTube on March 18, follows up on the Emmy-winning 2019 HBO documentary "Leaving Neverland," where Robson and James Safechuck first publicly detailed their allegations of childhood sexual abuse by Jackson.

Robson, who previously defended Jackson and testified in his favor during the 2005 molestation trial, explains that he was initially unable to speak the truth due to fear. "Jackson said 'We can't let them do this to us—us, us, us.' I had a real fear that if anyone found out, he and I would go to jail," Robson reveals in the documentary.

The film also captures Robson reflecting on his 2019 interview with Oprah Winfrey, praising her understanding of abuse survivors' experiences. "She really personally understood and has had some version of that experience herself," he notes.

The Jackson estate continues to deny all allegations, with estate attorney Jonathan Steinsapir maintaining their position that Jackson is innocent. Jackson's supporters argue that the accusations are financially motivated, pointing to ongoing legal battles between the accusers and the estate.

Both Robson and Safechuck are scheduled to have their case against Jackson's companies tried before a jury in November 2026. Despite the challenges, Robson remains resolute: "If I get the opportunity to get back on the stand and tell the truth like I wasn't able to for decades, that's a win for me."

The documentary explores the personal toll these allegations have taken on both men, with Robson experiencing two nervous breakdowns and Safechuck struggling with insomnia and depression.
