Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs is now accused of forcing three women into commercial sex acts, according to an amended federal indictment filed Thursday in New York's Southern District.
The revised charges expand on the September 2024 indictment that initially charged Combs with racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution. Prosecutors allege Combs and his associates used his business empire's influence to lure female victims through promises of romantic relationships.
According to court documents, Combs allegedly compelled three unnamed women to perform commercial sex acts through force and threats, providing them with money, career opportunities, and housing expenses in exchange.
The updated indictment also claims Combs attempted to conceal a 2016 assault on former girlfriend Cassie Ventura by paying $100,000 to hotel security staff for surveillance footage showing him kicking, hitting and dragging her through a Los Angeles hotel hallway.
Prosecutors expanded the timeframe of the alleged criminal enterprise to span from 2004 to 2024, adding accusations of kidnapping and drug trafficking involving substances like cocaine, ketamine, and methamphetamine.
Combs' attorney Marc Agnifilo dismissed the new allegations as "ridiculous," stating the amended indictment contains no new offenses. He maintained that prosecutors incorrectly characterized two of Combs' former romantic relationships as prostitution arrangements.
The hip-hop mogul remains in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center's Special Housing Unit and has denied all accusations. His trial is set to begin May 5, while prosecutors indicated their investigation "remains active and ongoing."
