Beloved actor Warwick Davis is set to receive BAFTA's highest accolade - the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship - at this year's Film Awards ceremony. The announcement was made during BBC's The One Show on January 10, where Davis was joined by actor Lenny Rush.

The Fellowship recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to film, games, or television throughout their career. Davis, known for his iconic roles in Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Willow, has been a trailblazing figure in the entertainment industry for decades.

In his heartfelt acceptance statement, Davis emphasized that the Fellowship represents inclusivity, creativity, and collaboration. He dedicated the honor to people living with dwarfism and those who embrace their differences, noting that uniqueness can be a powerful asset.

Beyond his on-screen achievements, Davis has been a passionate advocate for better representation in the entertainment industry. He founded Willow Management, an agency representing actors under five feet and over seven feet tall, and co-founded Little People UK, a charity supporting individuals with dwarfism and their families. His Reduced Height Theatre Company actively promotes opportunities for actors under five feet tall.

Sara Putt, Chair of BAFTA, praised Davis as a talented and inspiring figure who has profoundly influenced cinema while fostering a more inclusive society through his advocacy work.

The award will be presented to Davis at the EE BAFTA Film Awards on February 16 at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, with David Tennant serving as host.
