Former President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack against NBC's Seth Meyers and Comcast in an early morning social media post, demanding the media giant face consequences for what he views as "political hits" against him.

In a 1:24 a.m. post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his displeasure after watching "Late Night with Seth Meyers," calling the host "Marble Mouth Meyers" and describing him as "dumb and untalented." The former president claimed the show, along with other NBC programming, functions as unofficial contributions to the Democratic Party.

"These are not shows or entertainment, they are simply political hits, 100% of the time, to me and the Republican Party," Trump wrote, demanding that "Comcast should pay a BIG price for this!"

This latest outburst continues Trump's long-standing friction with Comcast, NBC, and MSNBC. During his presidency, he attempted to challenge NBC's broadcasting license after taking issue with their news coverage, though his own FCC chairman at the time, Ajit Pai, noted that such action would conflict with First Amendment protections.

The timing of Trump's criticism is notable as Comcast prepares to spin off MSNBC and other cable assets, a move that may require regulatory approval. Industry observers note that media companies are closely watching how a potential future Trump administration might handle mergers and acquisitions.

In contrast to Trump's hostile stance, President Joe Biden has embraced "Late Night with Seth Meyers," having made an in-studio appearance last year during the show's 10th anniversary celebration.

The show is currently airing reruns, but Meyers has consistently used his platform to deliver sharp comedy and commentary about Trump over the years.
