Saturday Night Live comedian Colin Jost recently shared his wife Scarlett Johansson's authentic reaction to some rather risqué jokes made at her expense during the show's 2024 Christmas special.

During his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jost discussed the now-infamous SNL segment where he had to read jokes written by his Weekend Update co-host Michael Che. The jokes, which Jost hadn't seen beforehand, targeted everything from Johansson's age to some very personal matters.

While Johansson had received a vague warning about potential content, she wasn't prepared for the actual delivery. "They were like, 'Hey, would you be okay if Michael made a little kind of vagina joke at some point?'" Jost recalled. "She was like, 'Sure, whatever, I'm open to it.'"

One particularly memorable moment involved a joke comparing a Costco menu change to his private life, complete with an unexpected graphic. The camera caught Johansson's genuine reaction backstage, mouth agape, exclaiming "Oh my God!"

"Scarlett was genuinely so shocked," Jost told Fallon. "I was obviously surprised by everything." When asked if he got into trouble over the jokes, Jost admitted, "I'm in trouble I think with a lot of people."

The segment sparked immediate reactions online, with fans debating the appropriateness of the jokes. Some defended Jost, pointing out that he didn't write the material, while others wondered about the aftermath of such public roasting.

Jost and Johansson, who began dating in 2017, married in October 2020 and have one child together.
