Roku, the leading streaming platform, has announced an exclusive deal to stream X Games Aspen and other X Games events in the United States starting in 2025.

The extreme sports competition will be available for free through The Roku Channel, featuring a dedicated X Games TV FAST (free, ad-supported streaming television) channel. Viewers will also have access to a special X Games Zone menu option on Roku devices and smart TVs.

The partnership extends beyond the winter games, as Roku will also stream X Games Sacramento scheduled for August 2024. The summer event will take place from August 22-24, while X Games Aspen is set for January 23-25.

"More than half of The Roku Channel's monthly FAST audience are between the ages of 18 and 49," said Joe Franzetta, Head of Sports at Roku Media. "The X Games have built a lifestyle brand that sits right at the intersection of sports and youth culture."

Jeremy Bloom, newly appointed CEO of X Games, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting how it will bring premier action sports to a broader audience while celebrating the athletes' creativity and passion.

While ABC/ESPN maintains traditional TV broadcasting rights, this streaming agreement was negotiated directly between Roku and X Games. The content will be accessible through The Roku Channel, which comes pre-installed on all modern Roku devices and is available for download on Amazon Fire TV and Android TV platforms.

This deal adds to Roku's growing sports portfolio, which includes Formula E, MLB games, and NBA G League content, reinforcing the platform's commitment to expanding its sports programming offerings.
