Actor Adam Scott recently opened up about his fond memories of starring in the hit NBC comedy series "Parks and Recreation" during an appearance on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast.

Scott, who played Ben Wyatt on the beloved mockumentary series, admitted he hasn't watched the show in quite some time, as it brings up emotional memories. "It makes me sad to see the show, because I miss them and I miss all the actors even though we're constantly in touch," Scott shared.

The cast members, including Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Nick Offerman, and Chris Pratt, maintain their close bond through an active group text chain. Scott spoke warmly about his five-year run on the series, which ran for seven seasons total from 2009 to 2015.

"It was really just a joyful 5 years getting to go work there every day with that group of people. We had so much fun and we're making something that meant something to people; it meant something to us," the actor reflected.

When asked about potential future reunions, Scott deferred to series creators Michael Schur and Greg Daniels, noting that the finale already provided substantial closure by showing the characters' futures. "The series finale kind of took us to the end. It jumped pretty far ahead into the future, so I'm not sure what else there is to add," he explained.

The series, which earned 14 Emmy nominations during its run, followed the adventures of a parks department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. Scott's comments came during promotion for the second season of his current project, Apple TV+'s "Severance."
