In a groundbreaking collaboration, Netflix and the SEC have joined forces to create an unprecedented behind-the-scenes football docuseries following the 2024 season.

The eight-episode series will feature 10 SEC schools including Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. Each 45-minute episode will provide viewers with unfiltered access into the world of SEC football.

Box To Box Films, the acclaimed production company behind hit series like "Formula 1: Drive to Survive" and "Full Swing," will produce the docuseries set to premiere in summer 2025.

"This behind-the-scenes docuseries will bring all the drama and pageantry of Southeastern Conference Football to a worldwide Netflix audience," said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. He emphasized how the series will showcase SEC football through Box To Box's storytelling expertise.

The series promises intimate access to coaches and players both on and off the field. Cameras will follow teams through locker rooms, on bus rides, at barbershops, around fire pits, and during iconic tunnel runs before games.

While some SEC teams initially hesitated about providing extensive access, the conference ultimately embraced the opportunity to showcase their programs to Netflix's global audience in an unprecedented way.

All SEC schools were given the choice to participate, with the flexibility to opt in or out in future years. The series adds to Netflix's growing portfolio of sports programming, which includes partnerships with the NFL, NBA, Formula 1, and other major sports organizations.

Executive producers James Gay-Rees, Paul Martin, and Hillary Olsen will lead the project, with Collin Orcutt serving as showrunner.
