After making mysterious appearances across multiple Marvel films, Julia Louis-Dreyfus confirms that her character Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine's complete agenda will be exposed in the upcoming "Thunderbolts*" movie.

"You're going to see her entire plan unfold," Louis-Dreyfus told Entertainment Weekly. "It has a lot of mystery to it and there's some twists and turns that you don't see coming."

The acclaimed actor explained that the new film will dive deep into Val's character and backstory, offering audiences a fuller understanding of her motivations. Val has been steadily recruiting morally ambiguous fighters like U.S. Agent and Yelena Belova while climbing the ranks to become CIA director.

When asked about Val's true nature, Louis-Dreyfus playfully suggested a new category: "You've got hero, you've got anti-hero, you have villain...is there such a thing as an anti-villain?"

The movie promises to reveal some of Val's earlier schemes from the Marvel comics. Louis-Dreyfus noted that while Val sees herself as the puppet master of the Thunderbolts team, she may not have as much control as she believes.

"She is about four steps ahead all the time, or at least she thinks she is until she's not," the actor teased.

The film features a mix of returning MCU stars including Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, and Florence Pugh, alongside newcomers Lewis Pullman and Geraldine Viswanathan. Louis-Dreyfus praised the movie's grounded approach, highlighting its focus on practical stunts over extensive special effects.

"Thunderbolts*" is set to release in theaters on May 2, 2025.
