Grace Jabbari, the former girlfriend of actor Jonathan Majors, has dropped her federal lawsuit alleging assault and defamation against the actor, according to court documents filed on Thursday.

The lawsuit, originally filed in March 2024 in New York federal court, came shortly before Majors was sentenced to probation after being convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment charges in December 2023.

In her now-dismissed civil complaint, Jabbari had detailed multiple incidents of alleged physical and verbal abuse throughout their relationship, which began in 2021 during the filming of "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" in the UK. The lawsuit also claimed Majors defamed her in an ABC News interview following his conviction.

The dismissal was filed "with prejudice," meaning Jabbari cannot file another lawsuit regarding these claims. Both parties agreed to the dismissal through their attorneys, though no specific reason was provided for ending the legal action.

This development follows Majors' criminal case conviction in December 2023, where a jury found him guilty of reckless assault and harassment stemming from a March 2023 incident in Manhattan. During his April sentencing, the actor avoided jail time but was ordered to complete 52 weeks of domestic violence therapy in Los Angeles.

The incident that led to his criminal conviction involved an altercation in a chauffeured car, where Jabbari alleged Majors twisted her arm and injured her finger while attempting to take her phone.

Following his conviction, Marvel Studios dropped Majors from upcoming projects. The actor has consistently maintained his innocence throughout the legal proceedings. Recently, Majors announced his engagement to actress Meagan Good and is set to appear in an upcoming horror film "Merciless."
