Actor and comedian Jamie Foxx brought both laughs and revelations in his new Netflix special "What Had Happened Was...," where he finally opened up about his 2023 health crisis and joked about seeing Sean "Diddy" Combs during his near-death experience.
The Oscar winner revealed he suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke in April 2023, causing him to lose consciousness for 20 days. During this ordeal, Foxx described experiencing a peculiar tunnel vision commonly associated with near-death experiences.
"Your life doesn't flash before your face. It was kind of oddly peaceful," Foxx shared with his Atlanta audience. "I saw the tunnel, I didn't see the light. It was hot in that tunnel."
The comedian then delivered a punchline that had the crowd roaring: "I thought, 'Am I going to the wrong place in this motherf---er?' 'Cause I looked to the end of the tunnel and I thought I saw the devil... Or was that Puffy?"
Foxx also addressed widespread internet conspiracy theories suggesting Diddy was somehow responsible for his medical emergency. "The internet was trying to kill me. The internet said that Puffy tried to kill me!" he quipped, before firmly denying the rumors: "Hell no! I left them parties early. I was out by 9."
