Former supermodel and actress Dayle Haddon, 76, was found dead on Friday morning at a Pennsylvania property owned by her daughter and son-in-law, following what authorities believe was carbon monoxide poisoning.
Emergency services responded to a 911 call around 6:30 a.m. at a detached office suite on Phillips Mill Road in Solebury Township, where they discovered an unconscious 76-year-old man on the first floor. Upon searching the building, responders found Haddon unresponsive in a second-floor bedroom, where she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The property, owned by actor Marc Blucas and Haddon's daughter Ryan Haddon, showed dangerously high carbon monoxide levels according to firefighters. Detective Sergeant Jonathan Koretzky indicated a malfunctioning heating unit appears to be the source of the deadly gas.
The male victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey for treatment. Two responding medics were taken to Doylestown Hospital for carbon monoxide exposure, while a police officer received treatment at the scene. All first responders are reported to be in stable condition.
Haddon enjoyed a celebrated career spanning decades, appearing on numerous fashion magazine covers including Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue in 1973. She held prestigious contracts with major beauty brands L'Oréal, Revlon, Estée Lauder, and Max Factor. Her acting credits included roles in "Madame Claude" and "North Dallas Forty."
In her later years, Haddon focused on humanitarian work, founding WomenOne, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for women and girls worldwide. She also served as a UNICEF ambassador and contributed to CBS News in the mid-2000s.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues.
