Hotel heiress Paris Hilton lost her Malibu home as multiple wildfires continue to ravage Los Angeles County, forcing thousands to evacuate. The socialite and businesswoman shared her heartbreak on Instagram as she watched her house burn down on live television while sitting with her family.

"This home was where we built so many precious memories. It's where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London," Hilton wrote in her emotional social media post.

The destruction of Hilton's residence is part of a larger crisis as six separate blazes tear through the Los Angeles area, destroying more than 1,000 structures. The fires, intensified by Santa Ana winds, have particularly devastated the affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood, with flames spreading at a rate of five football fields per minute.

While expressing devastation over her loss, Hilton emphasized her gratitude that her family remained safe. She extended prayers to others affected by the wildfires and mentioned she was coordinating with nonprofit organizations to support the community.

The wildfires have impacted numerous other celebrities, including Billy Crystal, James Woods, and Miles Teller, whose homes were also destroyed. The blazes have led to the cancellation of several Hollywood events, including film premieres and awards ceremonies.

Local authorities continue their efforts to contain the fires as they spread through Los Angeles County, home to nearly 10 million people. Emergency responders are battling the flames both from the ground and air as evacuation orders remain in effect for affected areas.
