Michael Urie took home the Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and used his acceptance speech to share a lighthearted moment about his legendary Shrinking costar Harrison Ford.

During Sunday's ceremony, Urie joked about the 82-year-old Ford, calling him "this great up and comer, who is so amazing" - drawing laughs from the audience. The 44-year-old actor also expressed gratitude to series lead Jason Segel, praising him as both "an incredible leader" and actor.

Urie, who plays Brian in the Apple TV+ series Shrinking, emerged victorious in a competitive category that included Paul W. Downs (Hacks), Tyler James Williams (Abbott Elementary), Brandon Scott Jones (Ghosts), Asher Grodman (Ghosts) and Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows).

The series follows Segel as Jimmy Laird, a therapist working through grief who begins breaking professional boundaries by telling clients his unfiltered thoughts. The ensemble cast includes Ford, Luke Tennie, Lukita Maxwell, Christa Miller and Ted McGinley.

In a recent interview ahead of the show's second season, Urie reflected on how Shrinking influenced his personal journey with mental health. "The show is so careful and yet reckless with mental health," he noted, adding that it encouraged him to begin his own therapy journey.

"It's been at times frustrating, at times fun, at times confusing, just like the show," Urie shared about his experience with therapy, describing it as part of his ongoing journey of self-discovery.

The Broadway veteran's win celebrates his standout performance in a series that continues to spark important conversations about mental health while maintaining its signature blend of humor and heart.
