Acclaimed stage and screen actress Patti LuPone has confirmed her upcoming role in the second season of Apple TV+'s period dramedy "Palm Royale." The Tony Award winner revealed she will appear in three episodes of the series, which is set in 1969 Palm Beach, Florida.

During her appearance on Andy Cohen Live, LuPone shared details about her involvement in the show, including scenes with series star Sarah Jessica Parker. While specific details about her character remain under wraps, LuPone mentioned she has her own separate storyline from veteran actress Carol Burnett, who plays Norma Dellacorte.

The Broadway icon also inadvertently dropped what appears to be a major spoiler regarding Ricky Martin's character, Robert Diaz, whose fate was left uncertain after being shot in the Season 1 finale. LuPone mentioned crossing paths with Martin in the makeup trailer during production, suggesting his character may have survived the shooting.

LuPone, who recently appeared in Marvel's "Agatha All Along," playfully acknowledged her tendency to reveal production details, joking that Marvel might come after her for discussing her "Palm Royale" role.

The casting of LuPone adds another distinguished performer to the show's already impressive ensemble, which features Kristen Wiig in the lead role. Her addition promises to bring new dramatic depth to the series' sophomore season.
