Our friends over at Spoiler TV have gotten their hands on some casting slides for the premiere episode for season 2 of LEGEND OF THE SEEKER. The slides are calling the episode “MARKED.”
It looks like that perhaps the line that Darken Rahl was feeding Jennsen in FEVER about their familiar connection might be true after all. It also appears that maybe the Mord Sith are about to take over being the Sisters of Dark.

“At the end of the first season, Richard succeeds in his quest to defeat Darken Rahl, but it remains to be seen whether or not he has truly been destroyed. Richard will soon discover that, in defeating Rahl, he inadvertently opened a rift into the underworld, and he’ll have to deal with those consequences as a war is waged on the living.“

I have search high and low all over the net and all I seem to be getting as usual are “possibility” rumors that it may be continued past episode 22 later in the year, Is season 2 a greenlight and is that october date a fact or rumor? oct 2009? please give us a source for this date?

Finally! Someone actually has some direct true info about this awesome show! I can’t wait until October. Do they have a legend of the seeker calendar or something? Who knows, it could get as popular as CSI! To be honest though, i heart Terry Goodkind was unhappy with the way his books were being turned into a show. It could be all just a rumor, but I also heard he won’t sign for any more seasons after what he already signed for.
Yeah I understand him for being mad lol. They started the series like it was in the book and then they changed sooooo many things. They did stuff that the caracthers weren’t supose to be Capable off. But i hope he will sign GOSH PLEASE
There has been nothing anywhere in real print saying anything about Terry being upset about the show. He sold the rights for a big pile of cash and is getting royalties on the series and is selling more books as a result. He is busy working on an all new series of books which is why he will not be actively working as a consultant on LOTS from here on out. Sam Raimi and Rob Tappert are the showrunners and who are working on the series. LOTS his based on the books by Terry but is not meant to be a chronicling of them any more than Smallville is true to Superman. LOTS should be great this next year as they tackle the next phase of Richard’s path on the hero’s journey. Killing Darken Rahl was only the beginning.
i so hope they will continue with kalahn and Richard that would be so totally awsome because i mean they are made for each other and all they can do is give hugs if ya ask me they should find a cure for a confessers touch ahhh but that is just my opinion
So is the show gonna stay on saturdays or are they gonna move it? If they base a book on 1 season like they did wizards first rule on season 1 they could go up to 11 seasons if the cast, sam raimi, and the ratings are good and want to.
The show will be airing whenever your local affiliate airs it- since it is in syndication air times and dates vary depending upon where you live. It looks like WGN which is a nationally syndicated cable station will be keeping the show on Saturday afternoons. We have DISH network and the extended superstation package which means it airs on 4 different CW national affiliates as well- all at different times.

Does anyone know if Season 1 will come out on DVD?
Season 2 was a green light halfway into season 1 it said that everywhere but only found out here it starts at end of october i can’t wait. Looks like a few are starting in autumn with dexter and supernatural coming in september aswell and hopefully merlin will too.
Anyway true blood and dollhouse are pretty good.
Im sooo Glad its getting a 2nd season!!! the books are soooo much better and there is alot of things on the show that were different than the book but it was still an awesome show!. Looking forward to season 2!
It’s truly a great serie , but I’ve readed the books, and I’m quite annoyed that in the series the story gets wrong..
For an example :
The Mord Siths is not going to be the sisters of dark in the books …
In the books it’s “witchwomen” who’s taking Richard to “the old world” is a Sister of Light , but in that place called The Palace of the Prophets there’s allso some evil sisters called Sisters of Dark … :O
And Jennsen don’t gets in to the books until the book “Pillars of Creation” . Wich is the 7th book …
And I can take up like 100 of these things, it’s sad they haven’t taken after the books so much, but don’t missunderstand me, I LOVE the series XD

finished dexter in the spring, supernatural right before the summer, merlin and lots only some weeks ago. oh and priso break (kinda annoying end with michael dying, wel i guess it had to end one way). btw anyone knows when heroes are starting? probably in the autumn

The new look for Richard is great, but do we know why? As good as the new look is, the old one wasn’t bad either. I am thinking that his look has changed as it does in book 2, I haven’t finished book 2 yet, but they have mentioned Richard’s hair early in the book.
In response to Katrina’s post on 7-03. In the books Richards finds the solution to Kaylen’s touch at the end of Wizards First Rule. The confessors touch destroys a persons will and forces total devotion of the touch to the Confessor. In the books Richard devotes himself completyely to Kaylen on his own. When Kaylen, under the influence of the Con-Dar, does Confess him (believing him to be Darken Rhal) the magic does not take hold. Richard does play along at first though to fool Rhal.
Weather or not the producers write in a similar situation is up to them. It may be that because he was confessed twice while under the power of Orden, he is no longer at risk as a previously confessed person is since immune to other confessors, but that is just my speculations.
Over all I would seriously recommend reading the books before watching the show, if possible.

The most recent update I heard is that season 2 will premier November 7 and 8.
BTW, my previous comment about confessees being immune is based on the episode that dealt with Kahlans sister, and only refers to people currently under a confessors influence.
I saw a trailer for season 2 of seeker and it looked like two mord siths were kissing. Is this going to be a common theme from now on?
There will be some female on female romance between the Mord Sith- this is in the books too. I doubt it will be a weekly ocurence on the series
I really enjoyed season 1 but I won’t be watchin season 2. I have never read the books but I researched them when the show came on and from what I saw of season 1 I thought they were going to leave out the same sex relationships. I am dissapointed because season 1 was great.

Don’t worry, in the books there was only one instance of same sex romance that I can remember and it wasn’t very explicit.
(It was between 2 Mord Sith)
Berdine and one other are involved in the same-sex romance, in book 3 I believe, but the other Mord-sith died. It isn’t mentioned again until several book later.
Even then it was only mentioned as a passing interest. Other than that the only other romance involving the Mord-Sith was Cara and a D’Haran general very late in the series.

Damn! I’m from the netherlands and it hasn’t been on tv here yet. So had to watch it all online. I hope they trow the episodes of season 2 online minutes after people did see them in Amerika.
Haven’t seen such good tv for a long time. We have serries like House and NCIS here but good fantasyserries are very rare.

Season 2 of The Legend of The Seeker will return on November 7th actually
I am currently reading the 6th book Faith of the Fallen and although I really enjoyed the 1st season of The Legend of the Seeker I can’t help but notice subtle differences from the book to the television series I just hope in the next season they smooth those subtleties out because the sword of truth series is one of the best series I have ever read.
Can’t wait for Season 2, especially the premiere. That photo of Charisma Carpenter as a Mord sith is awesome.
I am about to read the fourth book and look forward to immersing myself in this world.

but they have messed up the the books so much and by the looks of the script there going to keep messing it up like makeing darken rahl richards brother and not his father
everyone should just read the books it gives al the truths and the answers like richard and kahen get married richard becomes lord rahl that he’s the ony war wizard born in 3000 years (has both sides of magic)

Spoiler Alert. I like the characters but Season two is so depressing. They didn’t even have time to finish their celebration party and Darken Rahl is already back along with the most horrible mayhem. The second episode is all death, suffering and destruction. It ends with the promise of unending misery.
They should give the audience a break. So many tv shows and movies today are full of wide scale horrible suffering and impossible odds. Heroes are supposed to have challenges, but this is ridiculous. I would at least expect there to be some hope, some feeling that life will not be endless misery and suffering.
I’m in New Zealand and we had it on one of our less viewed channels called prime and it was a 7 at night time which was quite good. I’ve just finished watching it on youtube (hehehe) because I had commitments at the time of the show. Has airing started for the new season and how on earth do I get my hands on it?
