Actress Alison Brie has been revisiting her role as Annie Edison in preparation for the upcoming Community movie. During a recent interview at the Sundance Film Festival, where she was promoting her new thriller "Together," Brie revealed she watched several episodes featuring her character.

"I was having a meeting with Dan Harmon, and we were talking about the Community movie and I wanted to rewatch some classic Annie episodes, so I did, and they were great," the 42-year-old actress shared.

The highly anticipated Community movie has been making steady progress. Joel McHale, Brie's co-star from the original series, confirmed in July 2024 that funding has been secured through Peacock, with production expected to begin sometime next year.

Ken Jeong, who played Ben Chang in the series, recently disclosed that he had read the script written by series creator Dan Harmon and former show writer Andrew Guest. Jeong described the experience as emotional, though he noted he was limited in what details he could share publicly.

The original Community series ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2015, developing a dedicated fan following. Discussions about a movie adaptation have been ongoing since August 2022, when Brie first hinted at behind-the-scenes movement on the project.

While preparing for her return to Greendale Community College, Brie is currently promoting "Together," a thriller co-starring her husband Dave Franco. The couple also served as co-producers on the project, which is screening at the Sundance Film Festival.
