Indiana Jones and the hunt for memorabilia: No. 1 fan Harrison Ford scoops up his own action figures
It appears no one is more excited about the upcoming release of the latest Indiana Jones installment than its leading man, Harrison Ford.
The greying actor was spotted carrying a stack of his own action figures - including a fedora-clad Mr Potato Head - while out in Los Angeles yesterday as he prepares to return to the big screen in his signature role for the first time in 19 years.
Harrison has again pulled on his his leather jacket and picked up his bullwhip for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which will premiere for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18.
The iconic character was last spotted on our screens riding off into the sunset in 1989’s The Last Crusade, set in 1938, close to the start of the Second World War.
The new film is set at the height of the Cold War in 1957, meaning Ford’s character has aged in real time.

Shia LaBeouf talks up Harrison Ford Source - Variety

THE FAB rising star, Shia LaBeouf, has decided to break his silence and let us know what it was like to finally meet the hero — “Indiana Jones” himself. I do mean Harrison Ford, with whom Shia plays in the latest “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” movie. Shia: “The first time I met Harrison we were on an Air Force base doing stunt and vehicle training. He arrived in a big chopper and everyone stopped what they were doing. He got out of the helicopter, pulled a whip out of the glove box and proceeded to pull a sword out of a man’s hand using the whip. He then introduced himself to everyone.” And this is the same tough guy who is putty in the hands of the slight, trim, girlish Calista Flockhart. He’s also the kind of guy who makes his own phone calls and doesn’t put you on hold.
Speaking of Indy thanks to WireImage, we’ve got a new pile of Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg photos taken at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills to promote Indiana Jones at a large press conference!
