24 Renewal looking better than expected

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Speaking of “24,” despite the continuous drumbeat about the veteran real-time terrorist drama coming to an end, Gordon was surprisingly optimistic about the show’s chances to return for a ninth season.

“Discussions are still being held; the book hasn’t been closed,” he said. “If there is ‘24′ past Season 8,” he added, “I will be part of that,” though probably not as showrunner. He also said that star Kiefer Sutherland, who has no deal for the show beyond the current season, “is inclined to do another season if there is a good story.”

The show is now in production of the final two episodes of Season 8 and Gordon is bearing down. “Every year of ‘24′ has a strong thematic closure,” he said.

24 Day 8 11 PM to 12 AM 3 Spoiler Clips

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Jack is in deep- the Russians have him and want to know what he knows about the shipment of weapons grade Uranium they are trying to get to Farhad. Dana’s idiot ex has money and trouble headed her way- she has to confess to Cole about her past. Diplomacy is falling apart as Omar goes over the line in his paranoia to find out who in his regime is out to get him. Yeah- 24 is getting good! I am very sad that Callum Keith Rennie is dead on the show already- but even with my favorite cylon gone- Heroes bad guy David Anders and Jurgen Prochnow are on the scene to make things interesting.

In more 24 news- the show is temporarily halting production so that Kiefer Sutherland can have some minor surgery. They are quite a few episodes ahead so this should not disrupt the shows air dates.
