The X-Files I Want to Believe finished up its global release with over 69 million dollars in box office revenue- this was more than twice what it cost to make the movie and was twice what the Firefly movie Serenity - which barely broke even- made at the box office. Frank Spotnitz has said he would like to see a third X-Files movie - one addressing the Armageddon date of 2012 and the alien invasion…. we shall have to wait and see.
