First part of our big Heroes update for this week- we have three promo photos for Season 3! Peter, Niki/Tracy ( yes it looks like there is another personality lurking behind blue eyes for Ali Larter!) and we have a new cool arty shot of HRG as well. HRG will be very important this year as we learn about the villains- people with abilities he spent much of his career putting away.
This season after the writer’s strike is shaping up nicely for fans. We may have been short changed last year but the networks are making up for this with BIG FAT 2 hour premieres all over the place to get us excited for our returning shows. NBC was the first to announce this strategy back in May when they said they planned a 2 hour premiere for Heroes. We have some details on the premiere- it will be two episodes run back to back, both of these following a 1 hour catch up show with clips from the previous two seasons to get fans back up to speed.
EPISODE 3.01 (first hour of the two-hour premiere)
“THE SECOND COMING” – Sept. 22
“VOLUME 3: VILLAINS” MAKES A TWO-HOUR SPECIAL DEBUT WITH REVELATIONS THAT WILL REDEFINE FAMILIAR CHARACTERS AND SHAKE THE SERIES TO ITS CORE — The first chapter of “Volume 3: Villains” kicks off moments after shots rang out, as the shocking identity of Nathan’s (Adrian Pasdar) assassin and the reasons why the Texas press conference had to be cut short are revealed — immediately throwing Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) and Matt (Greg Grunberg) into unexpected, uncharted territory. David Anders Confirmed Returning in Episode 4- GOOD to know he survived having to shoot a movie in Hawaii on the beach surrounded by bikini clad Laura Vandervoort ( Smallville) and Audrina Patridge( The Hills) in The Reef. Check out news about that on The Entertainment Hotline along with scads of bikini clad pics of Laura, and some beefcake shots of David and co-star Chris Carmack.

Heather in Bloomington, Ill. We’ve gotten some great Heroes scoop lately, but we haven’t heard a word on David Anders’ return. So can you throw us Anders fan a bone and give us something to chew on?
Sark is back! According to sources, your boy will be back in episode four. Yes, someone will dig up Adam Monroe, and yes, he will be pissed. (You’d be cranky too if you’d been buried alive and hadn’t been trained in coffin cracking like Ms. Beatrix Kiddo.) Also, James Kyson Lee (Ando) revealed: “The show really goes back to some of the fundamental relationships from season one that everyone really cared about and got excited about.” In addition to the shocking and dramatic scene between Ando and Hiro in the first hour of the show, I’m hearing that we’ll get back to their lighter side as well: Ando, Hiro and the Haitian have at least one scene together that should send you into giggle fits.
Francis: Wait a minute! In your Heroes post you mentioned that the Greatest American Hero, William Katt, is going to be on the new season. Is he playing a hero or a villain?
Believe it or not (sing it with me now!) he’s, um, not walking on air. He’ll play a villain of the worst kind: A…I hope you’re sitting down for this..reporter. Actually, his character’s name is “Reporter,” and from what I hear, he has no special powers to speak of, other than his awesomely spherical ‘do. In the second hour of the season premiere, we’ll see Katt’s character harassing Ali Larter’s new character, Tracy Strauss, asking her about photos he found of her on lasvegasniki.com (back when Ali was Niki and Niki was a stripper). Tracy denies any connection, and my sense is, she honestly doesn’t know of any.
