We first met the “Ghostfacers” back in season 1 when Sam and Dean stumbled onto a prank gone wrong in the episode “Hell House”. The Winchesters met up with a pair of ghost hunters determined to make it big on the web with their coverage of a haunted house in Texas. Ed Zeddmore ( A.J. Buckley) and Harry Spangler (Travis Wester) were determined to make it big as the next Hollywood reality stars when they left Sam and Dean.
2 years later the two teams cross paths once again! This time Ed and Harry are more organized- they have a whole team with them including Ed’s sister- who is adopted- in case you wondered- Ed mentions this over and over throughout episode 3 x 13 Ghostfacers. Maggie Zeddmore is played by Brittany Ishibashi - a girl geek who would be at home working at the Buy More if she lived in Los Angeles.
This time their encounter ended with some tragedy and some hard learned lessons- but the Ghostfacers have not been deterred from the hunt for all things paranormal- losing one of their own was not enough to keep them away.
They managed to sneak into the EW/ SCIFI Network party at Comic Con and get their photos taken on the red carpet even!
There must have been some major behind the scenes action with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke because on Sunday the team broke in during the Q & A portion of the Supernatural panel and confronted Sam and Dean- ok Jared and Jensen- on what they were doing and how real ghost hunting is done!
This is my video from the panel- see my other Comic Con Supernatural posts for the full length panel
Eric Kripke has told us to stay tuned- and the new Ghostfacers website is now live on the CW website! You can catch the clips from the pilot of Ghostfacers that we saw in the episode of the same name and more footage with the team members- including their thoughts on Sam and Dean.

JC from the CW Source spoke to the team at Comic Con about what it is that they do and how it is different from what Sam and Dean do
If Ed looks familiar to you- he is played by A.J. Buckley. A.J. was part of the HUGE advertising psych out by LG this spring and the Scarlet TV series ads. Directed by David Nutter the ads were shown like TV promos and went viral all over the web- but there was no info anywhere on the TV series- turned out it was all hype for a new series of HD TELEVISIONS from LG electronics- GOTHCA!
You can watch the ads and a BTS of the ads HERE
If you are outside the U.S and can’t view the CW site- the trailer for the movie that Ed likes is for Hell Hazers II- this was the movie that the Winchesters had to help with in season 2’s episode Hollywood Babylon.
