Amanda Peet hit the airwaves promoting her part in the X-Files movie I Want to Believe. I have most of her appearances here to share! Am finally almost completely caught up with my X-files videos- will write up a formal review this weekend. I LIKED the movie- it has some flaws but was a nice re-introduction of Mulder and Scully. Back to Amanda- here she is talking about the movie- warning - she just about passes out on David Letterman she is so nervous. She needed a big fat Ed McMan sized cocktail before coming out on stage—- mellow out babe! Dave loves you!
First- an onset visit with Amanda
Hyperventilating on Dave
Comfortable talking to Regis and Kelly
Later in the week with Craig Ferguson

Amanda has been in the news this summer and has my UTMOST respect. She has been speaking out about the importance of parents getting their kids vaccinated. Many high profile individuals have been telling parents not to get their kids vaccinated and the truth is that measles and other completely preventable and potentially deadly childhood diseases are on the rise. I remember parents being terrified of mumps when I was a small child. Today even though vaccinations are safe and readily available parents are risking their kids lives by not getting their children vaccinated for a variety of fears. Yes there is some anectdotal reports that there may be a link between vaccinations and autism- however- death from measles and sterility from mumps ( boys can be rendered sterile as young as 6 if their fever gets high enough) and birth defects years later in your own children if you get infected with rubella should be pretty strong arguments against going unprotected.
KUDOS from this scientist to Amanda Peet for standing up to conspiracy theorists and supporting keeping kids safe from known killer diseases.
