1st report! Erika and I arrived but got to the convention center just a little too late for the producers panel and decided to use our time to figure out the lay of the land. We went to the Ghost Hunters panel which turned into a GHI panel with word Jason and Grant couldn’t make it- weather in New England kept them grounded so the International team pitched in! Donna and Rob did a great job handling questions from the moderator and the floor. The session closed with a preview of the new Amanda Tapping supernatural series Sanctuary coming to SCIFI in October.

Next we planned to go to the Bones panel but the line was outrageous! We went into the pit- the exhibit hall and left pretty quickly with me nearly having a panic attack at the press of people.
We did get our badges scanned to win a Chuck Nerd Herd car from Warner Brothers.
With the Bones lines way long- we decided to get in line early for Sanctuary. This was a good move- we ended up sitting through the panel before it which was an ode to Toy Biz and their Marvel toy line which is now handled by Hasbro. We got some nifty insight into how action figures are made from initial concept to product and how some things never get off the bench. One really cool thing was this particular concept art of a figure design they commissioned for a super articulated version of Marvel supervillain Rhino which wasn’t made but Marvel liked the artwork so much they paid the concept artist and are now drawing the Spidey arch villain to look like the sketches Toy Biz produced.
Finally it was time for Sanctuary and well worth the wait. I will have video up on Multipleverses hopefully later tonight!
Today is Sarah Connor then I will be doing the afternoon in the big ballroom hitting BSG, Chuck and Fringe.
Smallville is on the last day and as suspected the SN panel which follows it sounds awesome. They will be screening season 4 sneak footage and special info for the new dvd set coming in Sept……
