NEW AMSTERDAM’s Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has been cast in the sci-fi pilot

THE SKINNY:From NEW AMSTERDAM to space, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is the first actor tapped to board Fox’s VIRTUALITY. Coster-Waldau will take the position of mission commander Frank Pike, the leader of Earth’s first starship. The ship has virtual reality modules installed to help the crew with their long missions, and one can only assume that trouble will ensue from this setup. Ron Moore and Michael Taylor penned the pilot, which is being directed by Peter Berg.
